Job Description:
Under the direction of a Sports Medicine Physician, the Athletic Trainer will assist in evaluion and trement of all musculoskeletal injuries and sports reled injuries.Essential Functions
Practices as physician extender under a directing physician in accordance with ste practice act.
Assesses pients to determine modificions of therapy and trement needs in consultion with physician or other clinicians.
Develops rehabilition programs th appropriely addresses pient's short and long term goals.
Demonstre and help pients execute prescribed therapeutic exercises per physician protocols
Monitors pient's response to trement.
Educes pients regarding rehabilition programs, health needs, injuries, diagnosis, prognosis and risks.
Coordines care with other pient care providers as approprie.
Completes approprie documention including reports, trements, intake forms, message logs etc.
Cleans, maintains, and inspects all necessary (can include room, ultrasound machine, ECG, PRP, exercise) equipment. Reports repair and maintenance needs.
Actively engages in marketing and community educional programs.
Attend to pient questions/messages for physician.
Perform the following duties for pients: Casting, Splinting, Brace fitting, Wound care and bandaging, taking vitals, drawing up medicions, perform testing for illnesses such as flu, strep etc.
Assist with procedures and concussion trements.
File paperwork correctly and assist with obtaining prior authorizions when needed for procedures, imaging, or medicions.
Assist outreach ATCs as needed when proper documention of supervising/directing physician for the Intermountain system is in place.

Minimum Qualificions:
Current license as an Athletic Trainer in ste of practice
Nional hletic trainer certificion.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Experience in a variety of computer programs including da bases, word processing, and internet.
Reled working experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read informion, labels, assess pient needs, opere monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with pient care providers, pients, and visitors th require employee to verbally communice as well as hear and understand spoken informion, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurely, particularly during emergency situions.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipule complex and delice equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting pient care, accessing needed informion, medicion preparion, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer pients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambuling pients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navige crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stionary position for an extended period of time.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
